Pivotal Commware is a Seattle company productizing revolutionary software defined antenna systems. Our Holographic Beamforming Antenna technology enables fast, dynamic control of antenna beam profiles with vastly reduced cost, size, weight and power consumption relative to traditional phased array antenna systems. Pivotal is using this technology to disrupt markets where phased array performance is needed in commercially viable envelopes for both the private and public sectors.
Pivotal is seeking an entry level Software Developer to help develop and support fast-paced development projects with a small group of scientists, engineers, and business leaders in a startup environment. The candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation and testing of general purpose and embedded systems software. In addition, the candidate will work with external partners to interface with APIs, support management systems and manage software distribution. The candidate will also support customer-facing system components, working with electrical and embedded engineers to develop end user management software and internal tools.
Responsibilities:
- Design embedded system software architecture and implement code
- Create test plans for embedded software and custom tools
- Maintain code bases for multiple products
- Interface with electrical and embedded engineers for design specifications
- Manage distribution of software and software updates through remote updates
- Manage risk and optimize workflow efficiency in a start-up environment
- Interact with internal and external vendors/partners in the development and implementation of new software and hardware systems
Qualifications:
- BS in EE, CompE, CompSci or similar discipline
- Knowledge of FPGA, microcontroller, or ASIC technologies
- Experience in C/C++, assembly language, scripting languages and managed languages
- Familiarity with communication protocols (SPI, I2C, Serial, TCP/IP or UDP)
- Ability to create necessary tools for internal project support
- Experience with GIT
- Experience with SCRUM and agile development
- Ability to work with precise timing in code
