Spotlight™ 5G FWA Ready is Pivotal Commware's new offering which utilizes WaveScape and in-person window penetration loss measurements to precisely and confidently qualify homes for Fixed-Wireless Access (FWA). Spotlight provides a unit-level map of which living units have sufficient mmWave signal to support high-speed FWA.
WaveScape uses high resolution geodata, e.g., 15 cm, to make predictions down to individual living units. Unit address Qualification (UAQ) in MDUs, for example, is important to ensure that customers will achieve the service quality they expect with mmWave FWA. WaveScape characterizes UAQ coverage from gNBs and, if more building coverage is desired, identifies optimal locations for Pivotal 5G repeaters. In short, carriers need the unit-level FWA qualification WaveScape provides to make mmWave FWA operationally feasible.
